Police Pursue Suspect on Mendocino County Coast After He Threatens Violence at a Bank

Scanner traffic indicates that Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office deputies and State Parks officers are currently engaged in a police pursuit along the Mendocino County Coast. A suspect reportedly threatened violence at a bank and subsequently fled south along Highway 1.

The suspect reportedly fled southbound from the town of Mendocino after threatening violence at 100 Lansing Street, the Savings Bank of Mendocino in the coastal town of Mendocino. The suspect supposedly was involved with a fight call to the same location that occured yesterday.

Responding officers told dispatch that during the pursuit the suspect acted like he was stopping the vehicle and then sped off. The last reported location of the suspect was south of Van Damme State Park.

As of 2:58 p.m., there has not been any further updates regarding the status of the pursuit.
