Though communities have seen mask mandates and strict pandemic protocols recede, the SARS-CoV-2 virus continues to circulate. Mendocino County Public Health provided a sobering reminder of COVID-19’s continued impact announcing that three more county residents have passed away with the virus in the past month
In a press release announcing these fatalities, Public Health wrote, “Our thoughts are with their families and friends.”
The following information was provided about these latest deaths:
- Death #132 was a 91-year-old woman with co-morbidities from the greater Ukiah area.
- Death #133 was an 85-year-old woman with co-morbidities also from the greater Ukiah area.
- Death #134 was another 91-year-old woman with co-morbidities from the North Coast area.
Recently, Mendocino County COVID-19’s Community Risk Level has been redesignated by the Center for Disease Control to “medium” considered “high” just weeks ago. The CDC recommends communities in the “medium” risk level stay up to date with vaccines and test if symptoms present themselves. Individuals should wear a mask if they are symptomatic, they test positive for the virus, or they have exposure to someone with the virus.
Mendocino County Public Health strongly recommends residents vaccinate, receive their boosters, and consider masking and social distancing in crowded areas. If one tests positive for COVID, ask a health care provider about the oral treatments used to reduce serious infection and hospitalization.
All of them vaccinated. Wow.
A sobering reminder? I don’t think so. Three very old people. One was 85. Two 91 each. The reality is people of this great age have comorbidities. Pneumonia. Heart issues. Flu. Some sort of terminal illness. Did they die of or with “Covid”? Big difference. Further the PCR test is incapable of isolating any virus or pathogen. Hardly a pandemic. The current pandemic is of the injected.
The title of the article states “with covid”. I’ve had the coronavirus, and while I’ve had many worse flus in my life, I can tell you it’s quite a nasty bug. If you are in your 80s and 90s, I can certainly imagine that it might kill you (particularly if you end up in a hospital). As influenza does to thousands each year.
