During the month of September, Sonoma County Sheriff’s Property/Narcotics detectives, with the help of north beat patrol deputies, have been investigating several burglaries in the Cloverdale area. One of the stolen items was a trailer.

On September 26 at approximately 10 PM, detectives found the trailer being towed on River Road in Cloverdale. Detectives stopped the driver, later identified as Charles Greppi, a 36-year-old Cloverdale resident. Greppi was booked into jail for felony vehicle theft and felony possession of a stolen vehicle. Greppi later went to court and was released on pre-trial release.

Detectives then obtained a search warrant for Greppi’s home. They found an ATV recently stolen from a vineyard, over 400 pounds of stripped copper wire which is believed to come from several recent burglaries, parts from the stolen trailer, a “ghost gun” handgun frame, and three guns. The guns were a “ghost gun” AR15 style assault rifle, a “ghost gun” pistol, and a short-barreled shotgun. Detectives are seeking additional charges against Greppi for the items they found in his home.
