    • My nephew was also native American, no matter who you are there is a grieving family because are laws do not protect us they protect the criminals…dumbass

      • I personally know the elder brother to this slained boy and I cannot imagine what the family is presently going through! My heart breaks for them. I wonder though, if the murder charge will hold a greater sentence due to it being on Federal Land? Does anyone know how tribal law works or if the suspect, once he is apprehended, will be sentenced federally or by state? Just curious.

        • Round valley tribal land is federal so FBI should investigate and prosecute any major crime happening on that land ….according to FBI website ….
The FBI investigates the most serious crimes such as murder, child sexual and physical abuse, violent assaults, drug trafficking, public corruption, financial crimes, and Indian gaming violations.
Is tabor lane part of it?

          • California is a PL 280 state. The federal government transferred criminal authority to tge state in 1953. The FBI does not take a primary role in cases like this or most other cases for that matter. If they did the press briefings and updates would come from them.

  1. My heart goes out to the family of that boy, my nephew was also murdered in Casper by a man that should have never been out of prison they let him out on bail and he killed another guy in ft Bragg Mendocino has the worst judges they all need to be removed and replaced with judges that will keep these killers in jail and the investigation process is a joke people need to stand up and demand quality service and demand removal of the people that release killers on bail that have criminal history and on parole, I’m sure the cops get tired of re arresting the same criminal I live in Sacramento you go to jail for tickets they don’t let you out Mendocino has a revolving door booked and out on the street to kill someone else.

    • Unfortunately the governor of this state has made it so people don’t sit in jail. He has shut down the death row and moved all death row inmates into general population. So why keep anyone in jail if the punishment isn’t going to be harsh like the crime. So thank the Governor for allowing this. The judge just does what he or she is told.

      • I’ve lived in several places in California and have never witnessed blatent corruption as here in mendocino county..,from city council to police to representatives. The most corrupt county in the most corrupt state. Seems to be accepted norm here for most part. It seems to be involved in any city council here you have to be a expert in embezzlement. No one gets prosecuted unless someone gets a outside agency to intervine.

      • Katy you are 100% correct! Newsom has done a horrendous job and I am sick and tired of his let’s rehab prisoners not keep them behind bars as they should be. Our entire state is crime infested. It is a total shame! The law abiding citizens in California pay the price on the daily, it’s ridiculous. Oregon and Washington are just as bad.

        • Curious monkey it’s absolutely disgusting for sure. I sat through a death row trial for the murderer of my daughter just to be told five years later he’s being moved off the death row. I was pissed. Gavin has to go!

          • Katy, I am so very sorry for the loss of your daughter. Truly heartbreaking. It blows my mind that we have done away with the death penalty. It is complete BS. You are a very strong individual you have endured so much. You and your daughter will be in my prayers.

  2. Prayers to family for their loss…I am hPoy to learn that they do have a suspect and he WILL be apprehended to answer for this.
As they DEMAND answers and witnesses for this murder please include other victims in that demand.
Khadijah Britton whose assault and abduction was witnessed by many….and have chosen to allow her killer to remain free of any involvement. I have yet to understand a community of men and women who place such little value on a female life or a families emotional well being.

    • It’s really simple, take a conquered and confined people and stick them way in the boonies up a scary road, rob them of their actual culture, insert alcohol and drugs, provide no basic services. Bake for 100 years and Viola! Hereditary ptsd! So simple and there are examples world wide. Read a fucking book and grab a mirror. They are emulating the culture of their conquerors not their own.
