Robert Archie Winiger ll, aged 72, passed away at home on August 26, 2024 in Morgantown,KY. He was born on May 1, 1952, in Mojave, CA to Robert and Jeane Winiger. He was raised in Petaluma with his siblings and graduated from Petaluma High in 1971.
He began his early career in the fast-food business by working at Fosters Freeze in Petaluma. Years later, he purchased the Ukiah store and later went on to own the Willits and Lower Lake Fosters Freeze. He was a proud resident of Ukiah for 50 years until he moved to KY in 2022 with his daughter and son in-law, Jenny & Tad Kimbler.
He is known for his sharp wit and love for his family, his dogs, and was a generous man to all that knew him. To say his family will miss him is an understatement. His laugh and sense of humor will be missed the most.
He is survived by his ex-wife Sue Winiger. His proudest achievements and greatest blessings are his 4 children: Robert Winiger lll (Cici Winiger) of Ukiah, Jenny Kimbler (Tad Kimbler) of Morgantown, KY, Nicole Lee (Justin Lee) of Pleasant Hill, CA, Teddy Winiger ( Ana Winiger) of Litchfield Park, AZ, and his 8 grandchildren and great grandchildren: Jonathan, Jackson, Sebastian, Reagan, Chase, Samantha, Blake and Meyhlani, who call him Papa and his three step-children; Tiffany Goforth, Elizabeth Goforth and Sarina Goeken (Joe Goeken) of Ukiah.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Bob’s memory to the Humane Society for Inland Mendocino County. His dogs were his constant companions and he leaves behind his sweet pug, Baby, who lived her best life with Bob and misses him terribly.
