Sherwood Oaks Outbreak Update: Resident Tests Positive for COVID-19; Currently Asymptomatic

Categories:

The following is a brief press release written by the Medical Director of Sherwood Oaks Doctor John Cottle:

One more Sherwood Oaks resident tested positive for Covid-19 as a result of last Monday’s testing, with results having come yesterday.  The elderly resident remains asymptomatic.  Interestingly the resident’s only known exposure to the virus was three weeks ago, and a test two weeks ago was negative.  The resident is in isolation at Sherwood Oaks, and is likely to recover without incident.

Other than the 8 who passed away, all other residents who contracted Covid have recovered.  Sherwood Oaks staff have been tested weekly, and none of them have tested positive in more than a month.
