UPDATE 2:43 p.m.: Numerous resources have been released from the Ridge Incident including aircraft and fire crews. The scanner indicated Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office deputies located a fully engulfed car over the embankment before fire personnel got there, successfully knocked back the flames, and now firefighters are working to mop up the vegetation.
Was the car over the embankment occupied? Was that the cause of the fire?
