Join MendoParks and the Mendocino Mermaids for a “Park Prescription” Earth Day celebration at the Mendocino Headlands State Park. Earth Day activities will take place from 1:00-4:00pm on Friday April 22nd on the Mendocino Headlands outside the Ford House Visitor Center and Museum (45035 Main St, Mendocino). All activities are free and open to the public:
- Kids activities, including face painting booth by Harmony Face Painting
- Park clean-up
- Dance party
- 2:00pm Ayurveda talk and breathing class by Nicole Fish of Mendocino Ayurveda
- 3:00pm Open-air paint class: Please RSVP (all activities are free but space is limited for the paint class) https://www.mendoparks.org/earth-day
- Fresh wildflower exhibit at the Ford House Museum
Earth Day is an annual event on April 22 to demonstrate support for environmental protection. First held on April 22, 1970, it now includes a wide range of events coordinated globally by EarthDay.org including 1 billion people in more than 193 countries.
