On September 21, 2022, a group entered a market in north Santa Rosa and stole a large amount of vape pens and alcohol. To help identify these suspects, we posted surveillance video on various social media platforms and asked for the public’s help. Detectives have been following up on leads from the post.

A 14-year-old minor was identified as a suspect during the investigation. Today detectives found the minor sitting in a car with a man in the Montgomery Village Shopping center close to Montgomery High School. During the arrest, detectives found a loaded handgun inside the minor’s backpack. The handgun was loaded with an extended magazine. The handgun did not have a serial number and is commonly referred to as a “Ghost Gun.”

On August 23, 2022, the same minor was arrested by deputies for possession of a loaded handgun on school grounds. https://www.facebook.com/…/pfbid0bnHMRmUUf9GrTwYiZAAw8Q…

The name of the minor will not be released because of his age. He was booked into Juvenile Hall for the following felonies:

Robbery, conspiracy, possession of a firearm on school grounds, carrying a concealed loaded firearm, and possessing a loaded firearm, not being the registered owner.

    • Maybe he didn’t mean it and he’s sorry and is under privileged and needs love and is misunderstood and feels bad and needs a hug and didn’t get any presents for Christmas and doesn’t know it’s bad to rob and steal and doesn’t know that Guns can kill somebody and maybe he’s really a nice boy and maybe girls don’t like him and maybe it’s the schools system’s fault and maybe it’s my fault and I should go to jail. Oh well he’s just a child…for now!

    • Many troubled teens have loving and caring parents who just want to see them do right. They can get all the love support and things they need and get caught up with the wrong crown. The parents supervise them the best they can and the teens still make bad choices. The more you know. Parents aren’t always to blame. Maybe sometimes. But a lot of the time they come from loving homes with caring parents. Easy to make assumptions from behind your computer screen isn’t

  1. What the hell? This is a promising young man showing great initiative & you arrest him? I’m sure the alcohol was just a way to unwind after trying to start up his vape pen business. & of course he has a gun! He has the 2nd amendment right & one must be able to protect himself, his property & his business. This is just another act of government overreach!

    • This is yet another example of why the civilized citizens need to be armed. All the little wanna be gangsters that wd rob and shoot you for your wallet. Thats now empty due to bidens inflation. Cant afford to live but no mean tweets !!!!!

  2. His parents should be NAMED. The public and students needs to be safe from kids like this, who are unsupervised or their behavior sanctioned by parents.
