The ‘Green’ Fire ignited northwest of Philo along Greenwood Ridge Road this afternoon prompting a full wildland fire response.
Scanner traffic began around 2:53 p.m. when a vegetation fire was reported on the 19000 block of Greenwood Ridge Road.
The latest from the Incident Commander indicates the fire is approximately a half-acre in size growing at a slow rate of spread.
Powerlines are reportedly involved and the PG&E Outage Map indicates just shy of 100 customers are out of power in the area.
Air resources are overhead surveilling the fire’s behavior while resources on the ground are working to gain control.
UPDATE 4:08 p.m.: The Incident Commander reported the fire has been contained. Ground resources have laid a hose around the entirety of the fire and resources at the scene are being released.
