The Ukiah Senior Center, marking over 50 years of service to the Ukiah community, is organizing a significant fundraising event titled “An Affair to Remember” on February 10, 2024. The proceeds from this event will support the maintenance of Bartlett Hall and cover operational expenses for programs benefiting seniors and disabled adults. The center relies on donations, grants, and endowments since it doesn’t receive funding from the City of Ukiah or Mendocino County.

The event, hosted at Carl Purdy Hall on the Redwood Empire Fairgrounds, promises a delightful evening with a full-service bar, appetizers by Chef Lisa, a silent auction, and a dinner menu featuring Prawns, Tri Tip, Baked Potatoes, Salad, and Garlic Bread. Decades will provide entertainment spanning Chuck Berry to Katy Perry for dancing pleasure.

Attendees can become sponsors at various levels, enjoying perks like reserved tables, complimentary tickets, wine, and media recognition. Sponsors contribute to vital programs, including door-thru-door transportation, affordable meals, Adult Day Care, seminars, and socialization for the senior community. Those interested in sponsorship or attendance can explore the provided offers, and any contributions or donations for the silent auction are greatly appreciated, including anonymous contributions.
