A vegetation fire is burning west of Hopland this afternoon that was at one point threatening structures.
The fire is reported to be located on the 4500 block of Feliz Creek Road in State Resource Area.
The Incident Commander from Hopland Fire described the fire as 1.5-2 acres in size burning at a slow rate of spread and requested a helicopter asset, two state fire engines, and a hand crew.
UPDATE 6:22 p.m.: The Incident Commander reported that fire crews have a hose lay around the fire and forward progress stopped.

UPDATE 8:09 p.m.: The Incident Commander reported the Eagle Fire’s confirmed total acreage is 1.67 acres.
