A big rig rollover accident on State Route 20 west of Willits is snarling traffic as first responders assess the scene and work to clear the roadway.

Scanner traffic and the California Highway Patrol Traffic Incident Information Page indicate the incident occurred at 5:40 p.m. approximately six miles west of Willits.

The Incident Commander confirmed the westbound lane was blocked by the overturned big rig and the Caltrans Quickmap shows westbound traffic is majorly impacted.

To control the roadway, the Incident Commander requested California Highway Patrol or Caltrans respond to the accident to provide traffic control.

There are reportedly two patients associated with the overturned big rig being assessed by medics at the scene.

A heavy-duty has been requested to the scene used to tow larger vehicles like big rigs.
