A head-on crash involving three vehicles on Hwy 20 east of Lake Mendocino that occurred about 6:30 p.m. has blocked the eastbound lane of the major east/west route between Hwy 101 and I-5. Traffic is moving slowly in both directions about midway between Lake Mendocino and Lake County.
According to the CHP Traffic Incident Information Page, a Sprinter van, a Winnebago 2-axle RV, and a black Honda sedan were involved. All occupants are out of the vehicles, and there are only minor injuries, the CHP page states. But an ambulance was requested.
Tow trucks are responding to clear away the vehicles but, as of 7:30 p.m., traffic is barely moving through the area.
