The Mendocino Coast Recreation and Park District (MCRPD) is rolling out exciting recreational opportunities on the South Coast, thanks to a grant from the Community Foundation of Mendocino County. The popular All-Ages Skate Night has expanded to Point Arena, while futsal is back to energize local soccer enthusiasts.
Skate Night, already a Friday night staple in Fort Bragg, made its South Coast debut on November 22 at Point Arena Elementary School, drawing 17 skaters of all ages. With music pumping and skates spinning, families and individuals connected through laughter and movement. More skate dates are coming in December, and MCRPD couldn’t be more thrilled.
“Skate Night is all about community, fun, and staying active,” MCRPD said in a press release. With skates available for toddlers to adults, it’s a chance for everyone to join the excitement.
On November 24, futsal made its triumphant return, giving soccer lovers a chance to practice skills, scrimmage, and build bonds in the local soccer scene. More futsal dates are on the horizon.
Through events like these, MCRPD is bringing people together, fostering healthy lifestyles, and creating lasting memories.
