The Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office announced just minutes ago that they had captured William Evers, AKA the Redbearded Burglar, “within the last hour in the 29000 block of Albion Ridge Road in Albion, California.”

They stated, “Details of the arrest are unavailable at this time and the Sheriff’s Office will release further information later today by written press release.”

Last May the Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office were chasing a fleeing burglar when they say the suspect “discharged a firearm multiple times at one of the pursuing Sheriff’s Deputies.” Since then the wily suspect has barely escaped the long arm of the law multiple times.

Just yesterday, a witness reportedly spotted him “pooping in the woods” near Albion Ridge Road. The Sheriff’s Department dedicated a four person search team to looking for the elusive beet and onion pilferer and, today, apparently they managed to snag the suspect.

Judging from the grin on his face, maybe he’s glad to avoid the rain and have regular access to toilet paper again.
