Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office Captain Greg Van Patten told us this afternoon that a San Francisco store owner read our article describing the missing person case of Ukiah woman Kassandra “Sandy” McKee and soon after realized that she had actually patronized the location earlier this very morning.
This is the first time McKee has been confirmed alive since telling her mother on June 23, 2022, that she was in danger and would be boarding a bus to Ukiah the following day. McKee would never arrive back home so her mother reported her missing on July 4.
A social media post from MCSO states the store McKee was seen patronizing early this morning at 1:51 a.m is located near the 4500 block of 3rd Street in San Francisco.
MCSO is continuing their efforts to locate the woman and Heather McKee, Kassandra’s mother, told us she will be heading down to San Francisco tomorrow to try and get in touch with her daughter.
For more information about the circumstances surrounding McKee’s disappearance, read our previous article here.
